Blueberry Cold Brew Tea

Blueberry Cold Brew Tea

A simple, refreshing way to enjoy tea without boiling it. Cold brewing brings out a smoother, gentler flavour while fresh blueberries add a naturally fruity touch.

Ingredients

  • 1–2 tsp Assam Orthodox tea leaves
  • 500 ml cold, filtered water
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ lemon, sliced
  • 4–5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1–2 tsp honey, to taste

Method

  1. Add the tea leaves, blueberries, lemon slices, mint and honey to a glass jar or bottle.
  2. Pour in 500 ml of cold, filtered water and give it a gentle stir.
  3. Close the jar and refrigerate for 6–8 hours or overnight.
  4. The next day, strain the tea into a glass.
  5. Serve chilled, with a few fresh blueberries, mint and lemon slices for garnish.

Tip: Serve the cold brew in a tall, clear glass with plenty of ice. Add fresh blueberries and a few thin lemon slices, and finish with a small sprig of mint. For an extra touch, freeze a few blueberries with mint leaves and use them as ice cubes. The deep blue, fresh green and soft yellow create a beautiful, refreshing glass that looks just as good as it tastes.
